Brick pavers are as beautiful as they are tough and more affordable than you might think. While they are typically more expensive than concrete paver options we think that their good looks more than make up for that and with brick pavers lasting longer than their concrete brothers the long term investment is probably best made in brick. Made of clay and baked in kilns brick pavers are a lot slimmer than the house bricks you're probably familiar with and typically solid to give them the strength they need to support heavy footfall and vehicle traffic. They are long lasting and tough as well as traditional looking and we think they're great.
Solid Clay Paving Bricks
Solid clay paving bricks have a timeless look and in their modern form they have a rainbow range of colors which, because they are literally baked in, will keep their color no matter how bright the sun or heavy the rain. While brick pavers have the classic look from centuries ago the modern computer controlled kilns that create them ensure that they are perfectly made in terms of consistency and color and that baked in color won't fade. The brick that looks fabulous today will only go on to look better over time.
Brick Paver Sealing
Brick pavers are tough but it's still possible to give them a helping hand and extend the life of their good looks by sealing them. When we seal brick pavers we start by cleaning them thoroughly with a pressure washer. Where necessary we then typically apply new sand to the joints between the pavers themselves. Then we seal them with a coating that helps stop mold, protects from the harmful effects of UV, and helps bind the sand in the joints. The result is a tougher and even better looking brick paver hardscape for your property.
Brick Paver Driveways
Properly sealed a brick paver driveway will cope well with stains and will certainly shrug off the pressure from tires even in areas with a relatively large amount of traffic. Proper sand sealing is key to ensuring that pavers don't move under the pressure of vehicle weight but you can leave that to us. Brick paver driveways add class to a property and give instant curb side value since they welcome visitors in and are one of the first things seen approaching your property.
Brick Paver Paths and Patios
This is really where we think brick pavers shine because not only do they look great and resist staining from splashes (think pool surrounds for example) but they also feel good underfoot. In areas where you or your family may be tempted to walk barefoot such as patios, pool sides, and pathways that means they are as easy on the foot as they are on the eye. The infinite variety of patterns and their relatively small size also means that brick pavers are very suited for curving or irregular shapes which makes them great for providing hard floors for your outdoor living areas.
